Quay Marine Consultancy are a full member of LEEA (The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) and can provide a full range of lifting equipment inspections carried out by our LEEA trained lifting inspectors ensuring the highest standard of inspection and testing of all your equipment.

Inspections are carried out by our team on your business site, providing as little disruption to your premises as possible. We also use an easy-to-use electronic inspection certification system that allows our clients to log in at their leisure to their own site. This allows our clients to see, download and print individual certificates and the option to create a batch for all items of equipment listed on the system. In addition, this allows all to easily keep a log of inspection dates and identify upcoming due inspections.

Lifting equipment and work equipment falls under two main regulations, LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) and PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations), following these ensures that we are compliant with The Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and are up to date with the legal requirements within the UK for all lifting equipment and lifting accessories being inspected regularly.

Under LOLER and PUWER regulations it is a legal requirement that lifting equipment needs to be inspected by a Competent Person at certain maximum intervals.  Those maximum intervals are as follows:

Lifting Accessories (everything under the hook) – 6 months

Lifting Equipment (cranes, forklift, jacks etc) – 12 months

Lifting Equipment used to lift people (cranes, lifts etc) – 6 months
